Revel On The Red
by E

Revel On The Red

Hello "E" fans! Didn't mean to take my summer vacation without letting you know, but sometimes I just disappear like that for no reason. I have put a lot of miles on these old fins this year and needed to "chill out" for the past 3 months. Hope you gals got some much needed R and R. Your next tournament is going to be a different kind of R and R! Are you ready to Revel on the Red?

While resting up I did a little research on the Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana area. From September 29 to October 6 they will be holding the 31st annual Red River Revel. The Red River Revel is a festival of food, culture, art and music. The word revel means: to take delight or make noise. With more than 200,000 people expected to attend, I am sure there will be one big and noisy celebration!

The WBT will be making its own noise as this is the final stop of the season and those anglers who have a chance to qualify for the Championship are anxious to Revel On The Red! This is actually one body of water I have never been in. My relatives always warned me that this river was very dangerous and to stay away. Well, I have decided to face my fear and swim into the unknown! After all, it is full of fish and lots of tournaments are held on the Red. I have nothing to fear but fear itself....and all you gals of course!

If you see the water quivering, it is just "E" trying to be brave. I may not be able to see you through the "muddy" water but just know that I am proud of all of you no matter how you finish in points. We have had a great year together.
