The Lake Dardanelle Lady
Anglers fished their final club tournament of the 2007
season on Saturday October 27th and "Cry Baby" aka
Tammie Ply of Harrison, Arkansas held on to win her
first Angler of the Year title in the club with an 8 lb
lead over second place finisher Deannie Tate of
Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Tammie also held on to the Big
Bass of the Year with the
5.40 lb lunker she caught in
the club's April tournament.

Three of the anglers got into costume to
show their Halloween spirit and make the final event of the club
year a fun day. Helen Wood won the tournament with two fish that
weighed 5.60 lbs. She also had big bass which weighed 3.29 lbs. Lesa Brown finished second with two fish that weighed 3.30 lbs
and Deannie Tate finished third with one fish that weighed 2.75
lbs. The "trash fish pot" was won by Danalee Lofton who caught
a 5.30 lb drum.

The Lake Dardanelle Lady Anglers fish all
their club tournaments on Lake Dardanelle, but launch out of
different ramps every month. Tammie Ply joined the club in 2003.
Members include Lesa Brown - President, Tammie Ply -
Vice-President, Helen Wood - Treasurer, Carolyn Phillips -
Secretary, Danalee Lofton - Weigh-Master, Deannie Tate, Jacque
Helton, Linda Walker, Gail Wood, Beverly Dickson, Dianne Kegley,
Elaine Morris, Lisa Mayfield, Tonya Shafer, Shirley Kellam,
Sharon Waldo, Mary James, Joan Craig and Marsha Gipson.
Club member Diane Kegley of Norphlet,
Arkansas also qualified for the Women's Bassmaster Tour
Championship on Lake Keowee near Greenville, South Carolina in
February of 2008. Tammie Ply qualified for the same championship
in February of this year on Lake Mitchell near Birmingham,
Alabama.


The Lady Anglers will celebrate the end of
the 2007 season
with their annual Christmas party on December 8th. There will be
lots of food, games and that popular gift stealing game "Dirty
Santa". Awards will also be presented and Bobby Davenport,
President of the Arkansas Bass Federation Nation will talk to
the club about joining the National B.A.S.S. Federation Nation.
