Cruisin' The Grass
by E

Congratulations ladies for the good job you did on Lake Dardanelle! Many of my finicky relatives are nursing sore lips thanks to all of you. A lot of them just could not "measure up" to get a ride in your fancy bass boats and livewells, but if you come back next year, they should grow enough to make the cut.

So now, I guess you are getting excited about your next tournament adventure on Lake Guntersville. It is hard to keep up with you gals. My old fins don't help me keep up like they use to. Would you believe that I have never been to Lake Guntersville,, nor do I have any "blood kin" there that I am aware of?

I hope I can make it to Guntersville. I heard there was going to be two tournaments back to back and I just don't know if I want to dodge props and rattletraps for two weeks straight. Maybe I will hang out at Neely Henry and visit with family and some friends I made there last year until it is time for you gals to fish.

If it is as beautiful as I hear it is, I know I am going to have a great time. It is not a deep lake. I think the average depth is 20'. It also has my favorite cover...GRASS. So, if I make it to Guntersville, it may be hard to find me as I will be crusin' the grass, making new friends and warning the local bass population to beware of flashy swim baits and big sneaky lizards and worms as there just might be a determined female on the other end of the line just dying to put their slimmy scales in a portable tank that takes them to a strange place to be measured and weighed and photographed and eventually released back into the lake they call home.

If you plan to "boat those Bama bass, you better be crusin' the grass along with "E".

Good luck!
