Catch Those Arkansas Hawgs

"Catch Those Arkansas Hawgs!"
Well, as the country music song suggests,
"What happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico" so I don't have
much to say about Lake Amistad and Del Rio, except that I had a
great time! You gals were awesome...I was very impressed!
And believe it or not, I did follow you to
the Classic in Birmingham. If you happened to notice, the
Alabama license plates all say "The Stars Fell On Alabama" and
that is exactly what happened as 24 WBT anglers descended upon
Lake Mitchell to determine the 2006 Women's Champions. Wasn't it
cool that all the media hype was about the battle between Texas
and Arkansas anglers going into the Championship, and that 2
Georgia gals trolled in under the radar and made history? I was
also impressed with the number of anglers who showed up to
support the contenders. That had to mean a lot to those fishing,
as some did not have family there to cheer them on.
Now, you have to get focused on the rest
of the tour. Next stop, Lake Dardanelle. Ahh yes, we met
there last August 2006. What a friendly town, Russellville. I
have more relatives in Arkansas than any other state. They are
excited that I am going to bum a ride in the Catch and Release
boat so I can watch them dodge all those lures you gals are
getting ready to send their way. There are some "hawgs" in Lake
Dardanelle and I don't mean "Razorbacks" you know.
